Buncombe County will improve the penetration, understanding and response to personal preparedness messages in the senior (65+) population in Buncombe County. We will improve our personal preparedness messages by December 2009 but will expand the project beyond that date to improve selected public health messages for Buncombe County citizens. Specifically we will improve home/personal preparedness among the Buncombe senior population so they are prepared to stay in their home for 72 hours in an emergency situation.
