Melissa Barrentine Martin, BA, is the Program Manager for the Center for Public Health Quality. Melissa provides leadership and project management to the Center and is responsible for working with a team to develop and implement educational programs that assist public health professionals in learning and applying quality improvement methods and tools. She has an eclectic background of experience in retail management, new home construction, law enforcement, and public health.  The common thread in her experience is successful project coordination and management as well as effective communication. Melissa graduated from William Peace University with a BA in Communication and concentration in Advertising and Public Relations and received a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Studies at Meredith College. She has also received project management education through the NC Project Management Institute.
